Finally news from Sierranova (7 years, by Sir Donnerhall I aus unserer Ananova)!

Via HC Stables, Belgium, Sierranova came to Helgstrand Dressage at Denmark and was professionally educated up to the highest level for the last two years.

We are happy!

After problems in the last year to get her pregnant, Ananova finally got in foal during her first but very late heat this spring.

Once more it is the licensing and SPT winner "Dancier", awarded with the "Grande-Price", whom we selected for Ananova, last not least because of the two gorgeous foals she leads in the last years and which we like so very much.

Let´s cross the fingers, that her pregnancy will pass healthy and without problems.

Our "StPrSt Donnanova" by Don Crusador finally has managed it. The 6th foal out of our black mare this time is a very nice black filly of great nobility by Vivaldi (KWPN).

After professional training and some nice successes in dressage competitions, "Donada" finally found a new owner!

We wish much fun and successes in sports for these both.

"Bellanova" by Belissimo M, the first filly out of our "Donnanova", sold as a foal to Southwest of Germany, passed her MPT with great success and was honoured as the winner of the whole Mare Performance Test.

We wish Bellanova and her new owner further on much luck and success together.

First start in a Horse competition for "Donada"!

At her very first start at a horse show,  "Donada" (Don Presidente/Natiello xx/Weltmeyer) was placed  together with her trainer Sascha Böhnke in a dressage horse competition  class A against very professional competitors.

We are really proud of her.

Our "StPrSt Donnanova" by Don Crusador finally has managed it. The 5th foal out of our black mare this time is not a chestnut, but a very nice brown filly of great nobility by Sir Donnerhall.

In the right you can see Donada´s sire "Don Presidente" in an international intermediaire competition under Stephanie Kooijman, NL.

With Anna-Sophie Fiebelkorn in the saddle Sierranova competed successful at the National Championship at Warendorf in the beginning of September.

Anna-Sophie Fiebelkorn and Sierranova o/o our SPM Ananova are qualifying for the Federal Championship for 5-years-old dressage horses at Warendorf in September with a victory in a dressage horse competition class L at Bargstedt.

Congratulations to this successful couple!

Well, it though works! ! !

We are very sad and we are sorry, that we heard just now about the untimely passing of the Elite stallion "Fabuleux", who was born at our Augustehof in 1997. At March 29th he suffered a colic. In spite of two surgeries he died one week later in the following of this colic. He only became 17 years old.

Since 2003 he worked as a sire of offsprings, which are exceptionally consistent, not only in their attractive appearance and impressive gaits but are lauded for their extreme trainability and uncomplicated natures

Fabuleux´s owner Dr. Barbara Schmidt posted on her Facebook Page for Bridlewood Farm: Hier clicken!

Fabuleux will live on in the hearts of his many sons and daughters who will continue to carry on his legacy and in the memories of those fortunate to have known him.

Under her new rider Katja S. StPr Sierranova could place herself in her first dressage competition class L (III. Level) on the second rang.

Our black mare "StPrSt Donnanova" by Don Crusador and the black "Scuderia" also failed in delivering a dark foal. Because Donnanova in the past only had produced chestnuts, this time she should get the chance to deliver a dark one. -

At his first official horse show "Don Presidente" won the St. Georg - Competition under Stephanie Kooijmann at Roosendaal ahead of Lars op ´t Hoog and Emmelie Scholtens.

"Roosendaal met de Hanoveraans goedgekeurde hengst Don Presidente en sloot deze Stephanie Kooijman maakte haar wedstrijddebuut afgelopen zondag in direct winnend in de Prix St. Georges. Hiermee bleef ze Lars op‘t Hoog met San Vino sh en Emmelie Scholtens met Santo Domingo voor. "

StPr Sierranova moved today into a new box in the famous dressage training center of her new owner in Meinersen/Päse.

We are sure, that she is in best hands, that she will continue her good education and that we will receive a lot of amazing news about outstanding successes of this exceptional horse.

At the Lower Saxony Championship in Hannover  StPr Sierranova and Thomas Scholz earned a top-5 ranking in a field of high qualified competitors.

Congratulation to this good success.

Also at Isernhagen StPr Sierranova and Thomas Scholz became Champion at the riding horse competition.

We are very pleased about the sustainable further development on a high level.

Succes voor Stephanie en Don Presidente

Afgelopen weekend ging Stephanie Kooijman op pad met Don Presidente, in eigendom van de familie Smarius. Na een keer in Uden geoefend te hebben, reed de combinatie in Bavel de eerst officiële ZZ-licht wedstrijd. En met succes, Stephanie en Don Presidente eindigde op de eerste plaats met 66,3%. Stephanie: ‘Don Presidente deed erg zijn best. Bij het losrijden liet hij zien een hengst te zijn, maar tijdens de proef was hij helemaal op mij geconcentreerd. De stap kan nog wat beter, daar gaan we dan ook de komende tijd thuis verder op oefenen. Voor deze eerste officiële wedstrijd was ik super blij met dit resultaat!’

Our StPr Sierranova by Sir Donnerhall I and Thomas Scholz have their first start in the "green season" in a riding horse competition in Hannover.
Against strong competitors they could place themselves on the top and were honoured with the gold rosette of the winner.

From Bramsche we get greetings, pictures and a very nice video of our "Sadunja", who now could customize to her new home and surrounding since 7 weeks. Horse and rider are very lucky together as they told respectively one can see and they are obviously on the right way.

We wish them much fun and success together.

We got fascinated by "Scuderia" ( Sir Donnerhall I / Escudo I / Matcho AA ) because of his movements and last not least because of his rideability. For this qualities we broke our habit and used a young stallion without foals on the ground. So he get the chance to prove his inheritance.

In the end of February next year we anxiously will await Donnanovas 4th foal.

We are anxious to see her development.

The qualities of the movements and correctness of the foundation of this "Quaterback-grandson" were liked by our few visitors, so that he is a tribute of his name and the ownership has to be new organized.

We hope for the new owner community, that he can fullfill, what they believe to devine. - - -

After ten nights with not much sleeping gets her foal in the calm time after breakfast at 9:30 a.m. without showing any restlessness and agitation. It was pure chance that we saw the birthing on the monitor, allthough ten minutes before nothing indicated the near birth.

"Quo Vadis" was very quick on his noble and correct legs and at the milk bar for getting his oral vaccination.

 After having gotten the award of Statespremium last year our StPr Sierranova passed her mare performance test with outstanding success at Celle.

After half a year break for maturing   StPr Sierranova by Sir Donnerhall I restarted her training under T. Scholz, Hannover. Her first start was at "Verdener Zukunftspreis", a riding horse competition for highly qualified four years old youngsters.

Sierranova won a 4. placement among a very strong field of competitors and was only narrowly beaten with a difference of 0,3 scores to the winner.

Although our "Sadunja" is having a break in her training because of winter, she persuades the talented young horsewoman Vanessa J. of the quality of her gaits, of her rideability and last but not least of her charm. Vanessa at once fell in love to this lovely young mare.
So it ever should be! -

We congratulate Vanessa to this good decision and all our best wishes will attend this hopeful couple.

On the Facebooksite of Debbie Hill Dressage you find the posting: "Fantastic news to report: Debbie Hill finished the USEF 5 Year Old Championships in 5th place on "Boccaccio" and 6th place on "Sir Sherlock".

As Champion Mare of the Mare Show Königslutter StPr Sierranova by Sir Donnerhall I represents the PZV Braunschweig at the famous Herwart-von-der-Decken-Schau in Verden with a very respectable ID-Price in the class of dressage disposition horses.

The Herwart-von-der-Decken-Schau is a mare show held every year at Verden. Only the best 50 mares of the whole Hanoverian Verband were invited to compete in a great mare show. One say, that this mare show is the "window" of the Hanoverian Breeding Society.

Sierranova by Sir Donnerhall I out of our StPrSt "Ananova" is prooving her qualities also at mare show at Königslutter.

After her predominant victory in her class and after getting States Premium Candidate she also dominated the last competition against the other class champions and was called out "Champion Mare of the Show".

StPrCand Sierranova now is the seventh Show Champion Mare, we bred and raised out of the offsprings of our remote ancestor mare StPrM Auguste during the last few years. We remember: StPrM Franzi (1998), StPrM Watt Nuh (2000), StPrM Floria tosca (2001), StPrM Radunja (2002), StPrM Wakanova (2006), StPrM Ananova (2008)

Sierranova by Sir Donnerhall I out of our StPrSt "Ananova" by Alabaster is progressing gorgeously under her rider S. Böhnke.

Within their third start in a riding horse competition they could gain the victory in a very rainy battle in Syke-Heiligenfelde against prevailing4-years-old competitors.

With the attendance of his new owner Sina F. "Don Amigo" (by "Don Index" out of our "StPrSt Ananova" ) is joining the big family of the Hanoverian horses, while he is getting new branding.






Perhaps Don Amigo will be our last foal, who is allowed to wear this traditional sign on his left hind leg. This form of hot branding is going to become forbidden, because some uninformed animal-right activists started the discussion and the politicians are taking the opportunity for catching voters.

What a pity, if they get right. - - -

"Sadunja" (by Samarant - Weltmeyer) too is going to become a very talented riding horse and a first-class quality mare. She allways is ready for work and has an unbelievable condition.

Zij gaf op zaterdag een theoretische les over de opleiding van het jonge dressuurpaard in de KNHS stand en bracht dat later die dag in de Bit piste in de praktijk. Met de Hannoveraanse dekhengst Don Presidente, van de fam. Smarius, liet zij samen met haar moeder zien wat belangrijk is in de opleiding van het jonge paard. Don Presidente was voor het eerst met Imke van huis en vond het allemaal heel interessant, maar gedroeg zich onder het zadel echt perfekt. Imke was erg blij met zijn eerste publieke optreden." We are sure, So Watt will have a good horse life and wish Juliane much luck and success in riding and perhaps breeding.

"Fantastic day today, 4 year old Sir Sherlock won the FEI young horse test with a whopping 8.5 (owner Leslie Waterman, Tenesse)".

"Sir Sherlock" by Sir Donnerhall out of our Shari, born in 2007, sold to South Lane Farm, Ontario, Canada seems to become a great dressage prospect.

Two weeks earlier than last year she presents without any signs before another chestnut filly by Belissimo M
"Belladonna", very noble and vital, is our first and only foal this year.

Nice, that it is a filly. -

"Dynamite", shiny black gelding and son of our StPr Watt Nuh, sold in 2008 as a stallion prospect to South Africa, now again sold back to Germany as one of the most requested auction horses in Verden under his new name "Der kleine Prinz".

Next he will be trained by one of the Top-Ten-riders in Germany and afterwards he will be advanced by his new youthful and talented owner.

"Bellanova", the first filly of our "Donnanova" by Belissimo M settled over to our home country, the "Pfalz", in October. The new owners live at the same village as the breeder was born a long time ago.

We wish Bellanova and her new owner much luck and success together.

Like "Don Presidente" in 2009, "Ferdinand von Nymphenburg" become winner of the "Lower Saxony Riding Horse Championship" at the national country horse show at Hannover and were called out "National Champion of Lower Saxony of the three years old riding horses".

"Ferdinand von Nymphenburg" (Fidertanz / Metternich / Graf Grannus / Fabriano / Augustinus xx) is a greatgrandson by our SPS Franzi and a son of "Money", which we sold to the breeders of "Ferdinand v. N." five years ago.

With the beginning of the merry month of May and short before the mares return from their pasture into their barn, Donnanova delivers her first foal quick and without any problems - nearly unnoticed - still during her stay in the pasture.
"Bellanova", an eminent vital chestnut filly, is now the third filly in that breeding year for their enthused breeders.

In the barn of our chairman M. Schäfer the first colt by Don Presidente out of a mare by Fabriano/Graphit/Gotthard was born.

Our youngsters "So Watt", "Sadunja" and "Sierranova" enjoy their life of liberty in their well protected shelter with much fresh (sometimes very fresh) air.
